PTBA Distributes IDR 12.6 Trillion Dividend, 100 Percent of Net Profit

PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Group, held an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for the 2022 Financial Year in Jakarta, Thursday (15/6/2023). The GMS approved a dividend of 12.6 trillion, representing 100 percent of the company's net profit for the fiscal year 2022.

The GMS also approved the Annual Report, ratified the Company's Consolidated Financial Statements; approved the Board of Commissioners' Supervisory Report; ratified the Financial Annual Report and the Implementation of the Company's Social & Environmental Responsibility Program for the 2022 Fiscal Year; stipulated the bonuses for the Board of Directors and Commissioners for the 2022 Fiscal Year and salary/honorarium including facilities and allowances for the 2023 Fiscal Year; approved the appointment of a Public Accounting Firm to audit the Company's Financial Statements and the Micro and Small Business Funding Program for the 2023 Fiscal Year; and approved the changes to the Company's Articles of Association.

In addition, the GMS approved the ratification of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Regulation Number PER-1/MBU/03/2023 concerning Special Assignments and Social and Environmental Responsibility Programs for State-Owned Enterprises, Minister of BUMN Number PER2/MBU/03/2023 concerning Guidelines for Governance and Significant Corporate Activities of State-Owned Enterprises, Minister of BUMN Number PER-3/MBU/03/2023 concerning Organs and Human Resources of State-Owned Enterprises.

Moreover, the GMS approved the proposal to change the composition of the Company's management. The GMS confirmed the honorable dismissal of Agus Suhartono as President Commissioner and Devi Pradnya Paramita as Commissioner. The GMS also approved the appointment of Irwandy Arif as President Commissioner, Kurnia Toha as Independent Commissioner, and Rahmat Hidayat Pulungan as Independent Commissioner.

Company Performance

In 2022, PTBA achieved the highest financial and operational success in the company's history, with a net profit of IDR 12.6 trillion, 159 percent from the previous year's IDR 7.9 trillion.

The achievement of net profit was supported by revenue of IDR 42.6 trillion, 146 percent increase compared to 2021 of IDR 29.3 trillion.

The company's total assets as of December 31, 2022 amounted to IDR 45.4 trillion, or 126 percent compared to 2021 of IDR 36.1 trillion.

PTBA's total coal production in 2022 reached 37.1 million tons, an 24 percent increase compared to 2021 of 30.04 million tons. Meanwhile, PTBA's coal sales until 2022 amounted to 31.6 million tons, 12 percent increase compared to 2021 of 28.4 million tons.

PTBA recorded export sales of 12.5 million tons in 2022, while the realization of the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) was 19.2 million tons, a 119 percent increase from 16.1 million tons in 2021.
