Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Training Strengthens Corporate Governance Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) through the GRC Excellence Model concept is an integrated concept aimed to encourage organizations to be able to develop professional and responsible organizational management practices through the implementation of better governance, risk management, and compliance.

The GRC Excellence Model is the GRC ideal condition owned by the organization to ensure the organization's goals are optimally achieved. In order to achieve the GRC Excellence Model, a framework consisting of prerequisites, principles, Components of Excellence and maturity levels is required.

No less important is the understanding and implementation of Business Judgment Rules (BJR) for the organization to ensure that every decision regarding investment/ divestment meets the GRC rules to provide profits in accordance with mature business feasibility rules according to the Shareholders’ expectations.

PT Bukit Asam Tbk (“PTBA”) Corporate & GCG Management System Work Unit (SMP & GCG) as the owner of the program, in collaboration with PT Proxsis Solusi Bisnis which has expertise in GRC development and systems, organized GRC Training for Executive and Regular Class PTBA Group 2022.

The training is also supported and facilitated by the Strategic Human Resources Work Unit (SDM Strategic) as formal assignments and employee competency database update. The objectives of understanding and implementing GRC through the Excellence Model at PTBA are:
  1. The company obtains benefits through implementation of GRC that is integrated in all relevant business processes.
  2. The company has employee assets with competency in measuring and evaluating the implementation of GRC in accordance with national/ international rules and regulations.
There are several sessions of Executive and Regular Class training activities. The inaugural session of the Executive Class was held on June 16, 2022, opened by the President Director of PTBA, Arsal Ismail, showing the Board of Directors' commitment to the development and implementation of GRC in all business processes of the company and its affiliates.

With the enthusiasm of the participants, it is hoped that they would gain a complete understanding of the GRC Excellence Model and be able to provide significant changes to corporate governance, risk management and compliance for the company's business growth in the future.
