PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Ombilin Mining Unit delivered one unit of fire truck to the Sawahlunto City Government. With a 3,000-liter water capacity, the fire truck has been particularly modified to carry officers and fire fighting equipment.Yulfaizon, General Manager of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Ombilin Mining Unit, handed over the assistance to Fauzan Hasan, Acting Mayor of Sawahlunto in Ombilin Field in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Yulfaizon expects that this fire truck will be helpful in dealing with emergencies when fire breaks out. "Bukit Asam is committed to continue to fulfill its social and environmental responsibilities for Sawahlunto community. Hopefully, this assistance will improve the Sawahlunto fire fighting fleet and benefit the community," said Yulfaizon.
At the same event, Fauzan Hasan conveyed his gratitude to PTBA for the company’s concern and positive contribution to Sawahlunto community.
He advised Sawahlunto City's Civil Service Police Unit and Fire Department (Satpol PP Damkar) to use this vehicle as much as possible in the response to emergency fires.
"I would like to thank Bukit Asam for your social and environmental concerns. I accept this fire truck and hand it over to Sawahlunto City Fire Department to be cared for as best as possible," he said.
