The program was officially launched on Monday, December 30, 2024.
Community empowerment is carried out by providing skills in tempe production, processing, and marketing to the village community. Intensive training was given to 30 participants, most of whom are housewives.

During this intensive training, the participants were taught how to produce high-quality tempe, attractive packaging techniques, and effective marketing strategies so that the products could compete in the market.

Moreover, the program also integrates environmental sustainability aspects by providing training on processing organic waste into compost, as well as utilizing liquid waste for other beneficial purposes.

Mustafa Kamal, AVP of Sustainable Economic, Social, & Environmental Affairs at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), explained that the Co-Elevation Sustainable Community Development program is expected to create new business opportunities and strengthen the economic independence of the Prabu Menang Village community.
"We call it Co-Elevation. The goal is that through collaboration, both the community and the company can grow together. This program also includes innovations such as the creation of tempe with unique shapes, dried tempe, and tempe chocolate, as well as the use of solar-powered production tools," said Mustafa.

He added that this program is a concrete example of how the synergy between companies, social institutions, and communities can create sustainable change. "With the spirit of collaboration, this program is expected to bring positive long-term impacts for the community," Mustafa concluded.

M. Zainuri, Head of IZI South Sumatra Representative Office, emphasized the importance of ongoing mentoring in this program. "This is not just a ceremonial event.
