Bangkok, 24 Juni 2022 - Direktur Utama PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Arsal Ismail berhasil mendapat penghargaan The Global Emerging Leader Award 2022 dalam kategori Mining Industry Environment Preservation di ajang Global Youth Leadership Summit & Award 2022, yang diselenggarakan oleh Global Youth Parliament (GYP). Penghargaan diterima oleh Direktur Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) PTBA, Suherman, yang mewakili Arsal Ismail.Bangkok, June 24, 2022 - President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Arsal Ismail was awarded The Global Emerging Leader Award 2022 in the Mining Industry Environment Preservation category at the Global Youth Leadership Summit & Award 2022, organized by the Global Youth Parliament (GYP). The award was received by the Director of Human Resources (HR) of PTBA, Suherman, representing Arsal Ismail.
The event took place on June 24, 2022 at the Royal Thai Army Club, Bangkok, Thailand. Various institutions and companies from 32 countries around the world participated in the Global Youth Leadership Summit & Award 2022.
PTBA received the award based on consideration of its policies in the fields of leadership, innovation, social and environmental issues, also for Arsal's contribution in developing young talents in the company.
In addition, PTBA recorded a brilliant performance in 2021 with a net income of Rp29.3 trillion and a net profit of Rp7.9 trillion, the highest net profit achievement in the Company’s operation history. The coal production reached 30.0 million tons with rail transportation of 25.4 million tons and coal sales of 28.4 million tons.
