Muara Enim, October 14, 2024 - PT Bukit Asam (PTBA) held a free medical service in Gunung Kembang Village, East Merapi Subdistrict, Lahat Regency on Tuesday (8/10/2024). A total of 68 local residents took advantage of this free health service.

The free medical treatment program was the result of PTBA's collaboration with Bukit Asam Medika Hospital (RS BAM) which provided professional medical personnel. Services provided included blood pressure checks, doctor consultations, and provision of medicines as needed. All services were provided free of charge.

Deni Hariansyah, Secretary of Gunung Kembang Village, expressed his appreciation for PTBA's concern for the health of the community around the operation area.

"We are very grateful Bukit Asam for this free medical treatment program. This activity is very beneficial for our residents, especially in obtaining easier and more affordable access to health. The enthusiasm of the residents was great, and we hope this program can continue to run regularly,” Deni said.

Hartono, VP of Sustainability at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), said that the free medical treatment program was not only held in Gunung Kembang Village but also in various other areas such as Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim District, Tanjung Agung District, and Merapi Timur District.

This initiative is part of PTBA's commitment to contribute positively to the welfare and health of the community around the operation area.

Every month, the free medical treatment program held by PTBA can serve more than 1,000 patients. This program is expected to expand access to health services for the surrounding community.

"Through this free medical treatment program, we strive to provide accessible and quality health services. We hope it will be useful and improve the quality of public health,” he concluded.
