The judging panel noted that PTBA not only met the criteria for alignment and innovation in its Human Capital Management System (HCMS), but also demonstrated other aspects related to HCMS that can serve as an exemplary benchmark for other companies. As a result, PTBA was granted the highest award, a five-star rating.

He explained that the company has implemented Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS) and Human Capital Initiatives (HC Initiatives) to support sustainable business growth. There are three HCMS or HC Initiatives programs aimed at enhancing the Company's performance and ensuring sustainable business practices.
First, the Bukit Asam Leadership Acceleration and Development Program (BLADE). This Leadership Development program is a standout initiative as it focuses on three key competencies for future leaders: Leadership Skills, Interpersonal Skills, and Business & Management Skills. One of the stages in the BLADE journey includes an Immersion Program, which consists of Business Insight Initiatives/Industry Benchmarking from multinational companies and Business Lectures from universities in the destination country.
Second, the Learning Assignment Program. In line with the commitment to enhance employee competencies to achieve PTBA's vision of becoming a world-class energy company, and as a tangible implementation of the Competent culture within the AKHLAK core values, PTBA has sent employees to pursue studies at the D3 and S2 levels at top 100 universities worldwide. Additionally, the company facilitates employees in independently pursuing S2 education, including establishing collaborative programs with SBM ITB.
Third, the Career Development Journey. To ensure integrated management of Human Capital aligned with the Company’s business, PTBA carries out the alignment and updating of competencies as a foundational element in Competency-Based Human Capital by reviewing and updating the Competency Dictionary, Development Matrix, Career Path, and Assessment Guidelines. According to the assessment by the Jury, the Career Development Journey program is worthy of being showcased and recommended to other organizations.
