PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), as one of the member of state owned enterprise holding company engaged in the coal mining sector, carries out the economic mission and social mission with care and sensitivity to jointly help the community, especially around the Company environment in order to help in improving people’s lives.

Implementation of the Company’s PKBL refers to a copy of the Regulation of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number Per-03/MBU/12/2016 dated July 3, 2015 Regarding Amendments to the Regulation of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number PER-09/MBU/07/2015 and finally amended through Regulation Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number Per- 02/MBU/7/2017 dated July 5, 2017 Regarding the Second Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Number PER-09/MBU/07/2015 About Partnership Programs and Environmental Development Programs of State- Owned Enterprises. The regulation and those amendments was ratified by GMS of Company for Financial Year 2017.

PTBA’s commitment to be able to grow and develop harmoniously with the community is a manifestation of sensitivity and concern to jointly develop the community around the Company. Essentially, as one of the companies engaged in coal mining, the Company is inseparable from the need for support and the role of the community in carrying out its activities so that the existing synergy can help smoothen operation of the overall business.

Pagar Dewa Village Integrated Agriculture Circular Economy

To carry out this program, Bukit Asam Industrial Center (SIBA) in the field of agriculture was established, based on healthy food and renewable energy to create sustainable economic, environmental and social independence.

The Agricultural SIBA program also supports the National Strategic program launched by the Government of Indonesia in food sovereignty through the Go Organic program and the National Action Plan for Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions (RAN -GRK).

This program is also a follow-up after Pagar Dewa Village received an award as a National Level Proklim Village from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2016.

On the environmental aspect, this integrated agricultural program utilizes straw waste and animal dung as organic fertilizer, utilizing 12,000 watts of renewable energy from the Solar Cell as a provision of infrastructure for processing agricultural products (rice mill, rice polisher, warehouse, etc.).

Bukit Asam Industrial Center (SIBA) Rosella

Established in 2020, SIBA Rosella is a PTBA CSR program that empowers the community through cultivation of rosella plants and the production of various derivative products in the company's operational area. SIBA Rosella aims to create an empowered and independent society through the cultivation and production of processed rosella plants.

There are currently 30 members of SIBA Rosella, the majority of them are family welfare educated ladies (PKK) from the Tanjung Enim Market Village. The members are divided into three units, namely nurseries, marketing and production.

The Rosella SIBA program was proposed and initiated in 2019 by Mrs. Dian Apriana and in February 2020, her proposal was approved and finally became one of PTBA's CSR program.

Afterwards, several actions were carried out such as program socialization to several family welfare educated ladies (PKK) of the Tanjung Enim, providing facilities and infrastructure assistance, developing land besides the Demonstration Plot (Demplot), and program accompaniment process. The rosella cultivation is located at the Tanjung Enim Market Head Office and in the yard of the PKK members of SIBA Rosella. In addition, there is a garden for planting rosella (demonstration plot) at the SIBA Center, Lingga Village with an area of about 2000 square meters.
