Bukit Asam Distributed Invasive Ventilators and PPE to Support some Provinces in Handling Corona

In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, Bukit Asam Large Family Foundation (Yakasaba) distributed a number of medical equipment assistance to support the Provinces of South Sumatra, Lampung, West Sumatra and the BUMN Foundation. President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk Arviyan Arifin, as Chief of Yakasaba, handed over the assistance to each recipient party representative at the BUMN Ministry Building, Thursday (28/5), witnessed by the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir. The event was also attended by the Secretary of the Lampung Province Region, Fahrizal Darminto, the Head of the South Sumatra BPBD, Iriansyah, the Head of the West Sumatra Liaison Agency, Andre Setiawan, and the Chairperson of the BUMN Foundation, Harjawan Balaningrath.

Through the donation program collected by Bukit Asam and business partners China Huadian and Ishihara Foundation, we were managed to provide the medical equipment assistance consisted of 29 sets of invasive ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE) ie. 2,800 face shields, 24,000 surgical masks, 2,000 coveralls with hood, 1,500 high risk isolation gowns, 4,400 PE isolation gowns, and 5,500 bouffant cap.

Bukit Asam hoped this assistance would support the frontline medical staff as the front guard in treating Covid-19 patients, and would eventually break the chain of Covid-19 spread in the provinces where Bukit Asam operational business were located.
