PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) sent a team to participate in the Indonesia Fire & Rescue Challenge 2022 (IFRC) in Banyuwangi on 13-23 November 2022. The send-off ceremony was held on Friday, November 11, 2022 led by PTBA Director of Operations and Production Suhedi accompanied by the General Manager of PTBA Tanjung Enim Mining Unit (UPTE) Venpri Sagara.Suhedi advised the PTBA team to be confident and honorable. "Don’t protest the jury. Keep the spirit of championship while hanging out and making friends. Most importantly, always take care of your health and maintain the good image of PTBA," said Suhedi.
Another advice came from GM UPTE Venpri Sagara, "Do your best but don’t exhaust yourselves. The most important thing is to maintain a healthy dietary habit, keep your attitude during the competition, and hopefully get the best results," said Venpri.
Meanwhile, PTBA Corporate HSE Vice President Yuhendri Wisra emphasized the PTBA team to always remember God Almighty during the competition. "Remember God in every activity. Keep in mind that you are representatives of 16,000 PTBA employees and partners, so you are the chosen ones. Make the most of this opportunity and get as much experience as possible in this competition. Show the mental of Rescue Bukit Asam!" said Yuhendri.
IFRC is an activity organized by the Indonesian Mining and Energy Emergency Response Professional Association (PERTAPINDO). The participants are 24 mining companies that are members of PERTAPINDO.
Various activities in IFRC including Road Accident Rescue - Mass Casualty Response (RAR), Structural Fire Fighting (SFF), High Angke Rescue (HAR), Firefighter Competency Test (FCT), Hazmat Spill Response (HSR), Firefighter Fitness Drill ( FFC), Water Rescue (WR) and Confined Space Rescue (CSR).
