
As a state-owned mining company which has worldwide, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (PTBA) certainly have a deep commitment to implement the Occupational Health and Safety (K3) in an enterprise environment and mining. PTBA operational performance that goes well in 2016 could not be separated from all human PTBA achievement that made K3 as a culture in the company.
This was conveyed by President Director of PTBA Ir. Arviyan Arifin said in a speech which read by the General Manager of Tanjung Enim Mining Unit (UPTE) Suhedi in the National K3 Day commemoration ceremony held at the parade ground, headquarters of PTBA Tanjung Enim, Thursday (26/1).
Explained, K3 culture is a key indicator in assessing the feasibility of a company and whether the company has good prospects for the future.
Indicators that, further the number one in PTBA, one of which can be seen from the small number of accidents which are not only detrimental to the company, but more for the individuals as victims, both physical damage such as disability or loss of life completely can not be assessed with money.
"Unimaginable, what happens when we do not care and are not aware of the importance of K3 for the company, especially for Bukit Asam as a public company," said Arviyan Arifin.
