Jakarta, June 25, 2025 – PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) made another proud achievement by winning an award in the 5th TJSL & CSR Award 2025, a prestigious appreciation event that highlights the company's contribution to social, economic, and environmental development through Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.In this event, PTBA won the Social Pillar Gold Rating and Environmental Pillar Gold Rating, as a form of appreciation for the company's commitment in running a sustainable Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program that has a real impact on society and the environment.

This award reflects PTBA's seriousness in integrating social and environmental aspects into the company's business strategy. In the social pillar, PTBA consistently runs various community empowerment programs, one of which is through the development of fostered Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). This program includes business management training, skills improvement, capital support, and marketing assistance so that MSEs can grow and compete independently.
PTBA also manages Rumah BUMN as a training and development center for MSEs, as well as a collaboration space for local entrepreneurs. In addition, the company also contributes through education scholarship programs for outstanding students from underprivileged families, improving community health services, and building various social infrastructure such as educational facilities, houses of worship, and clean water facilities.
Meanwhile, in the environmental pillar, PTBA shows commitment to nature conservation and climate change mitigation through programs such as post-mining land rehabilitation, greening operational areas, sustainable waste management, and environmental education to the community and students. PTBA also developed the Climate Village Program (Proklim) in various villages around the operational area, as a form of collaboration with the community to create an area that is resilient to the impacts of climate change.
Not only that, water conservation activities, green schools, and recycling training are also part of the company's efforts to build environmental awareness from an early age. One of the integrated programs is Desa Impian, which combines aspects of community empowerment and environmental conservation to create independent, sustainable villages through various initiatives based on local potential.
This award was given based on a rigorous selection process involving document assessment, program presentations, and in-depth interviews by an independent jury consisting of experts and practitioners in the field of sustainable development. Through this achievement, PTBA further emphasizes its position as a company that not only excels in business performance, but also actively takes part in social development and environmental preservation that has a broad and sustainable impact.
