 Indonesian Independence Day Celebration by PTBA, Lively and Meaningful

In order to celebrate the 71st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, and give meaning to the program launched by The Ministry of State Owned Enterprises, namely “SOE Present for The Country”, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk. (PTBA) held a variety of exciting events for the community around.

These events, among others, provide vocational training to former inmates Penitentiary (Prison) class II-B, Muara Enim, competition of panjang pinang, boat race war, and watching education movie together and various competitions for 300 elementary school students at Lawang Kidul District.

Especially for special skills training for former prisoners, Assistant Manager of Neighborhood Development Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of PTBA Bambang Sumantoro said, the program is organized according to the instructions of the Ministry of State Owned Enterprises in Independence Day of Indonesia, where Bukit Asam in SOE Present for The Country program act as PIC and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) as Co-PIC, to organize and succeed the 71st anniversary of the Independence Day of Indonesia in South Sumatra Province.

"The training we provide are tailored to the talents and interests of participants, in which we have completed vocational training in automotive, welding, electronic services, agriculture, farming, and fishing for six months," said Bambang Sumantoro.

Meanwhile, the climbing competition held by the Company was held on the football field Karang Asem, Tanjung Enim, South, Lawang Kidul district, right on Indonesia's Independence Day, which is Wednesday, 17 August.

Bidar race or boat race war is also held on the same day. This race is a race that was first held. The competition took place in the district of Lawang Kidul, followed by 27 teams of Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim District, and East Merapi District in Lahat regency.

Other events are no less exciting and laden with education is Watching the Company held for 300 children in elementary schools throughout the District of Lawang Kidul. The movie is a movie Garuda in my chest and Rainbow. Watching this event more exciting because interspersed with competitions, quizzes national vision, eating crackers, and so on.
