Under the theme Green Mining, this tree-planting initiative is a tangible demonstration of PTBA's commitment to sustainable mining practices, while also commemorating World Environment Day, which falls on June 5, 2025.

The event involved PTBA employees and partner organizations, reflecting a spirit of collaboration in preserving the environment around the company's operational area.

Satria Wirawan, General Manager of PTBA’s Tanjung Enim Mining Site, stated that Green Mining aims to restore post-mining land, enhance carbon absorption, and make a real contribution to a more sustainable environment.

"Green Mining reflects the company's commitment to implementing responsible mining practices to provide continuous energy, in line with PTBA's vision of becoming a world-class energy company that cares for the environment," said Satria.

The planting took place on post-mining land that has been prepared in accordance with reclamation standards. This initiative also forms part of PTBA’s decarbonization and reclamation strategy as outlined in the company’s carbon management roadmap. As of March 2025, PTBA has reclaimed a total of 2,457.35 hectares of land.
