"PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) distributed 75% of the profits for the current year to the owners of the parent entity as dividends for the 2023 financial year, in compliance with the decision made at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the 2023 financial year, which was held on May 8, 2024," said Corporate Secretary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk, Niko Chandra.
Cash dividends are distributed to shareholders whose names are recorded in the Company's shareholder register on May 22, 2024 or recording date.
In 2023, PTBA recorded revenue of IDR38.49 trillion, resulting in a net profit of IDR6.11 trillion. "This positive achievement is the result of the company's efforts to improve operational performance throughout 2023," said Niko.
PTBA's total coal production and purchases from January to December 2023 totaled 41.94 million tonnes, a 13% increase over 2022 of 37.14 million tonnes. This production result exceeded the 41.04 million tons objective set at the beginning of 2023.
This increase in production was also followed by an increase in coal sales volume to 36.97 million tons, up 17 percent from the previous year.
The company recorded export sales of 15.57 million tons or an increase of 25 percent compared to 2022. Meanwhile, domestic sales were 21.40 million tons, representing 12 percent growth annually.
"This serves as capital for the company to carry on business operations in a sustainable manner," said Niko.
