Jakarta, June 12, 2025 - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), Member of MIND ID Group Holding, held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) for Fiscal Year 2024 in Jakarta, Thursday (12/6/2025). In this AGMS, shareholders approved the use of 75 percent of the Company's total net profit in 2024 or amounting to Rp3.83 trillion as cash dividends. The remaining 25 percent of the net profit is recorded as unreserved retained earnings.
Throughout the 2024 fiscal year, PTBA recorded revenue of Rp42.76 trillion, resulting in net profit of Rp5.10 trillion and EBITDA of Rp8.30 trillion. This achievement was the result of the company's efforts to improve operational performance throughout 2024.
The increase in revenue was mainly supported by export sales which reached 20.26 million tons or increased 30 percent on an annual basis. Domestic sales also increased by 6 percent on an annual basis to 22.64 million tons. Total sales in 2024 reached 42.89 million tons or grew by 16 percent on an annual basis.
PTBA's coal sales are dominated by the domestic market. But in terms of mix, the export portion is increasing. Currently, the domestic market portion is 53 percent and exports are 47 percent.
In addition, the company's total assets as of December 31, 2024 amounted to Rp41.79 trillion, growing by 8 percent on an annual basis. This is an asset for the company to continue running business operations in a sustainable manner.
The company’s good performance can be achieved despite various challenges, including the correction of coal prices and market fluctuations. The average ICI-3 coal price index corrected by 12 percent on an annual basis from USD 84.76 per ton in 2023 to USD 74.19 per ton in 2024. While the average Newcastle coal price index corrected 22 percent on an annual basis to USD 134.85 per ton in 2024, from USD 172.79 per ton in 2023.
