Arsal Ismail, President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), expressed his sincere gratitude for the recognition from the government. He noted that the two Gold PROPER awards and one Green PROPER reflect the company's commitment to sustainable environmental management and community development.

In line with its vision of becoming a world-class energy company that cares about the environment, PTBA is implementing the Eco Innovation program as part of its commitment to implementing the best mining practices (Good Mining Practice).
The Eco Innovation Program features several notable innovations. At the Tanjung Enim Mining Unit, Kiambang plants are utilized to remove pollutants from acid mine water. Meanwhile, at the Tarahan Port Unit, the rock pack removal process was redesigned with the installation of an Asynchronous Motor. This modification has made the transfer of oversized coal smoother, leading to a more effective and efficient transportation process.
At the Kertapati Pier Unit, the Haulage Unloading Apron Feeder was modified for the stockpile, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the coal loading and unloading process.
PTBA has also made several social innovations, one of which is the "Encouraging the Agricultural Sector Economy with Innovation Towards Sustainable Environmental Management" (DESA IMPIAN) program, implemented at the Tanjung Enim Mining Unit. This initiative aims to promote economic growth in the agricultural sector while supporting sustainable environmental practices.
Additionally, Tarahan Port Unit runs the Coastal Ranger Cuku NyiNyi program, which focuses on restoring the coastal ecosystem triangle. This initiative aims to support the development of ecotourism and empower the local community. Meanwhile, Kertapati Pier Unit has launched the "Processed Catfish Bringing Prosperity in Sukamoro" (LENTERA SUKAMORO) program, which uses holes from brick excavations to create ponds for fish farming and aquaponic vegetable cultivation, further contributing to local community welfare and sustainable practices.
"Through these social innovations, Bukit Asam seeks to improve community welfare by utilizing local resources wisely and sustainably," said Arsal.
