PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) donated to orphans and disadvantaged people residing in 17 orphanages and Islamic boarding schools around the Tanjung Enim mining operational area on Thursday, March 28, 2024."We are here to share the joy and blessings of Ramadan with the pupils of this Islamic boarding school. We hope that this support would lessen their burden throughout the holy month," said AVP Community Engagement & Partnership PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Listati.
This donation, consisting of financial support for the poor and orphans, clothing that is fit for use, as well as Al-Quran, is part of the Bukit Asam Ramadan Safari activities.
According to Listati, this activity was part of PTBA's commitment to contribute positively to the welfare and development of communities around the operational area.
"By supporting orphanages and Islamic boarding schools, the company hopes to improve the younger generation and create a better future for the surrounding community. This aligns with Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and increasing opportunities for lifelong learning for all by 2030," she said.
Latif, the manager of the Tarbiyaturrohaniyah Orphanage (YPITR) Tegal Rejo, expressed gratitude for the PTBA's participation and help. He hoped that this assistance would be valuable to all recipients.
"We are very grateful for PTBA’s sharing in this blessed month, we hope the support that has been given will beneficial for the development of our students," he said.
