Bukit Asam (PTBA) Develops Berangau Park, a Green Open Space for the Community of Tanjung Enim Muara Enim, November 13, 2024 - In support of the Tanjung Enim City of Tourism program, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has developed Berangau Park, a 3.27-hectare Green Open Space for the community. The soft launching of Berangau Park took place in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

"Berangau Park is one of Bukit Asam's contributions in supporting the initiative to establish Tanjung Enim as a leading tourist destination in South Sumatra. Berangau Park is not only a recreational space but also an educational platform, especially for the surrounding community," said Suherman, Director of Human Resources at PT Bukit Asam Tbk.

Berangau Park is equipped with various educational, recreational, and sports facilities, including a Wall Climbing area, a jogging track approximately 1,300 meters long, and a children's play area offering traditional games such as gobak sodor, engklek, and ular tangga.

Additionally, the park features supporting facilities such as gazebos, toilets, garden areas, parking spaces, lighting, and a perimeter fence to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors.

"We hope that the presence of Berangau Park will strengthen the tourist appeal of Tanjung Enim and bring a positive impact on the environment and the local community," Suherman added.

Edi Susanto, Head of Lawang Kidul Sub-district, expressed his hope that Berangau Park will be well-maintained and serve as a valuable resource for the community.

"Our hope for the future is that everything PTBA has worked on here will be fully utilized and benefit the local population. Let us all pray that the slogan 'Tanjung Enim City of Tourism' becomes a reality in the years to come," he concluded.

Also present at the event were Captain Arh Octavian Zulkarnain, Danramil 404-05/Tanjung Enim; Ipda Hendriyanto, Deputy Head of Polsek Lawang Kidul; and Najiburrahman, Head of Pasar Village.
