The most recent action taken by PTBA is through its subsidiary PT Bukit Energi Investama (BEI), exploring synergies in developing Solar Power Plants, utilizing new renewable energy (NRE) and other electricity service business opportunities with PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE).
President Director of PT Bukit Energi Investama (BEI) Biverli Binanga and President Director of PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE) Erri Dewi Riani signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Jakarta on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 to establish this collaboration.
According to Biverli, this collaboration is an effort to support the energy transition and meet the government's Net Zero Emissions target of 2060.
"We hope to encourage business practices that contribute positively to the preservation of nature through this agreement. We also believe there would be economic benefits from this collaboration," he said.
Erri Dewi Riani stated that this collaboration is a tangible step toward the sustainable business practices of Chandra Asri Group, to continue providing infrastructure solutions in the fields of power generation, electricity services, and new renewable energy through one of its subsidiaries.
"We continue to be committed to supporting the Government's targets and running a clean energy-based business and creating a better life in the future," she said.
Meanwhile, according to PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Business Development Director Rafli Yandra, as the parent company of PT BEI, PTBA plans to continue contributing to national energy security. Therefore, sustainable business is a must.
"We intend to deliver renewable energy to the country. The company is committed to continuing to play a role in maintaining national energy security while preserving the environment. The company's development into the new and renewable energy business is in line with the noble goals of the MIND ID Group," he said.
