As the holy month of Ramadan begins, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Tarahan Port Unit distributed aid to underprivileged communities, Islamic boarding schools, and orphanages in the surrounding areas of the company’s operations in Lampung Province.The distribution of aid, consisting of 3,400 basic food packages and Rp50 million in cash, was carried out symbolically during the Ramadan Safari event at the PTBA Tarahan Port Unit Office in Lampung on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Suhedi, Director of Operations & Production at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), stated that the distribution of aid is part of PTBA’s commitment to positively contribute to the welfare of the communities around its operational area.
“In this holy month, we want to share blessings and happiness with the community. We hope that the aid we distribute can help meet basic needs, allowing the community to celebrate Ramadan solemnly and with gratitude," said Suhedi.
Hengki Burmana, General Manager of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) Tarahan Port Unit, also expressed his hope that the relationship between the company and the community would continue to strengthen and improve.
“PTBA is committed to growing and developing alongside the community. Let’s use this Ramadan as a moment to strengthen our bonds and enhance social awareness,” he said.
Amir Hamzah, Administrator of the Bandar Lampung Orphanage Communication Forum (FKPA), expressed his gratitude to PTBA for consistently being there for the community in need. He hopes that PTBA will continue to make a positive impact on the community.
“We, from the orphanages in Bandar Lampung City, would like to express our gratitude to Bukit Asam. We pray that Bukit Asam will always be blessed. We wish continued success for Bukit Asam, keep thriving and doing good,” he said.
