Rumah BUMN Bukit Asam Hosts Business Legality Socialization for MSMEs Rumah BUMN Bukit Asam conducted a socialization event on the importance of obtaining and updating the Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP), Cooperative and Business Single Identification Number (NITKU), Halal Certification, and Business Identification Number (NIB). The event, held in Tanjung Enim on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, was attended by 56 Micro and Small Enterprises (MSMEs) fostered by Rumah BUMN Bukit Asam.

The activity aimed to enhance the understanding of MSMEs about the necessary business legality documents, enabling them to access various facilities such as financing, training, and broader product distribution opportunities.

Mustafa Kamal, AVP of Sustainable Economy, Social & Environment at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), stated that this activity is a reflection of Rumah BUMN Bukit Asam’s commitment to supporting the development of MSMEs in Muara Enim.

"Through this socialization, we hope that MSMEs will be better prepared to run their businesses professionally and take full advantage of the various facilities provided by the government to support local economic growth," he said.

Weny Yuliastuti, AM of Micro & Small Enterprise Funding at PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), encouraged participants to continue participating in the coaching sessions organized by Rumah BUMN Bukit Asam to help their businesses grow from a local to a global scale. "Today's activity is part of the MSME Go-Modern Mentoring program, focusing on business governance, specifically business licensing and taxation," she said.

A number of speakers were featured during the event, including Muhammad Bobby, a Halal Supervisor, who explained the halal certification process for MSME products and the importance of obtaining a Business Identification Number (NIB). Herzi Ardinal and the team from KPP Pratama Prabumulih emphasized the importance of updating the NPWP to 16 digits and obtaining the Single Identification Number for Cooperatives and Businesses (NITKU), particularly for MSMEs looking to expand their businesses through e-commerce platforms.

The participants actively engaged in the discussion and question-and-answer sessions. One of the participants, Dian Afriani, expressed that the socialization was incredibly helpful in understanding the legal requirements needed for MSMEs.

"We now have a better understanding of the steps we need to take to ensure that our business has all the necessary legal documents," said Dian.
