PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Group, received two awards at Subroto Award 2024: the 2024 Subroto Award for Community Contribution and the 2024 Subroto Award for Non-Tax State Revenue Compliance.Both awards were presented at the 2024 Subroto Award Night, which marked the peak of the 79th Mining and Energy Day commemoration, attended by President Joko Widodo, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, and former Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Energy and Mineral Resources.
"I would like to wish a happy 79th anniversary of Mining and Energy, especially to the big family of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Energy and Mineral Resources sector. The Energy and Mineral Resources sector is a very strategic sector and has enormous potential, with a significant multiplier effect on the national economy," said President Jokowi.
On the same occasion, Bahlil Lahadalia stated that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources was a ministry mandated under Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution (UUD) to manage natural resources for the welfare of the people. "To achieve this, we must focus on working optimally to give the best contribution to the welfare of the people, nation, and state,” he said.
Arsal Ismail, President Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), expressed gratitude and appreciation for the award, stating that this recognition is the result of PTBA's outstanding contribution to society and the state.
"We take great pride in receiving this award, which encourages us to continue supplying energy continuously and helps Indonesia become an advanced and sustainable country," said Arsal.
The Subroto Award is the highest award bestowed by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on stakeholders who have contributed to the advancement of the energy and mineral resources sector in the past year.
In 2024, the Subroto Award would be in its seventh year. The Subroto Award was named after Prof. Subroto, who served as the Mining and Energy Minister from 1978 to 1988. Every year Mining and Energy Day is marked with a series of events leading up to the awarding ceremony on September 28.
The 79th Mining and Energy Day this year carries the theme "Energy and Minerals Realize Advanced and Sustainable Indonesia”, reflecting the utilization of energy and mineral resources to support the development of an advanced Indonesia, and ensures that its use is carried out sustainably in order to promote economic growth while also preserving environmental sustainability and the welfare of the Indonesian people.
