PTBA Received an Award for Outstanding Financial Performance Over the Last Five Years

PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), a member of the MIND ID Group, received an award at the Issuer Appreciation Night, which was hosted along with Tempo Index Launching - Idnfinancials52 in Jakarta on Friday, June 23, 2023.

President Commissioner of Idnfinancials Harianto Solichin gave the award to Farida Thamrin, Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA).

PTBA received the award because of its increasing financial performance portfolio over the last five years, up until March 2023. By winning the Main Index, High Dividend, High Growth, and High Market Capitalization categories, PTBA is a constituent of the Tempo Index - Idnfinancials52.

Chief Executive of Supervision of Capital Markets, Derivatives Finance and the Carbon Exchange of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Inarno Djajadi, Director of Trading and Exchange Member Arrangement of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) Irvan Susandy, President Commissioner of PT Indonesian Clearing and Guarantee Agency (KPEI) Hoesen, Head of OJK Capital Market Regulation and Development Department Antonius Hari, President Director of Tempo Media Group Arif Zulkifli, and representatives of issuers attended the event.

Company Performance

In 2022, PTBA had the highest financial and operational performance in the company's history. The company recorded a net profit of IDR 12.6 trillion, or 59 percent increase over the previous year's profit of IDR 7.9 trillion.

The net profit was supported by revenue of IDR 42.6 trillion, a 46 percent increase over 2021 revenue of IDR 29.3 trillion.

The company's total assets as of December 31, 2022 amounted to IDR 45.4 trillion, or 126 percent compared to 2021 of IDR 36.1 trillion.

PTBA's total coal production in 2022 reached 37.1 million tons, 24 percent increase compared to 2021 of 30.0 million tons. Meanwhile, PTBA's coal sales until 2022 amounted to 31.7 million tons, 12 percent increase compared to 2021 of 28.4 million tons.

PTBA's export sales throughout 2022 were 12.5 million tons and the realization of the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) was recorded at 19.2 million tons or 119 percent of the realization in 2021 which amounted to 16.1 million tons.
