This activity was held on Thursday (29/5/2025) at Jami' Bukit Asam Mosque and attended by 90 participants, who were representatives of 45 mosques, musala, and langgar in Lawang Kidul District.

Chairman of the Bukit Asam Ramadan Committee, Muhamad Ihsan, explained that this training aimed to refresh and teach the procedures for slaughtering sacrificial animals in accordance with the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad. "This training aims to teach and refresh our knowledge. It should be how to slaughter animals that is recommended by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Hopefully this training will have benefits that are not only felt by the company's ring 1 community, but also for South Sumatra and Indonesia," said Ihsan.

This activity is an integral part of PTBA's TJSL program in the religious field, which consistently supports religious activities and community empowerment in its operational areas. The training presented two expert speakers, namely Ustaz Zarkoni from Juru Sembelih Halal (Juleha) and drh. Slamet. Ustaz Zarkoni provided an in-depth understanding of the provisions of Islamic law in the slaughtering sacrificial animals, including recommended prayers and procedures that must be followed so that the slaughter is religiously valid.

Meanwhile, drh. Slamet focused on animal health aspects and proper slaughter techniques. He also explained methods of taming animals so that they only feel little pain before slaughter. "We should slaughter the sacrificial animals as well as possible according to the procedures and sunnah," said drh. Slamet.

Hopefully, through this training, the quality of qurbani sacrifice in 45 places of worship in Lawang Kidul Subdistrict can improve. The participants are expected to be competent butchers and can share their knowledge with the congregation in their respective mosques, musala, and langgar.
