Mine Control Center (MCC) Roles in PTBA

Currently PTBA already implemented continuous mining system. The system utilized several main heavy equipment unit such as bucket wheel excavator (BWE), spreader and stacker reclaimer (SP & SR) and also train loading station (TLS). In previous post the heavy equipments units already been discussed. This article is intended to discuss the role of mine control center (MCC).

MCC is defined as mine control center. But in PTBA, MCC is an operational control center system as a whole and integrated mining. Coordination and control with continuous mining systems is done in MCC. MCC existence is important, because without MCC, those heavy equipments cannot operate optimally. From  MCC, mining operations from BWE to SP and SR and TLS are controlled with interlock. All heavy equipment units are connected through belt conveyor.

MCC also has important role on recording time of operating hours ,duration when having problems and standby period. The record can be used as report for evaluation and improvement. Coal production and smooth communication have to be supported by MCC.
