Bukit Asam Assessment Center (BA-AC) is an entity within PT Bukit Asam Tbk which serves as a facility to assess employees’ competencies in order to plan their development path. Supported by BA-AC’s excellent reputation and professionalism, BA-AC also trusted by various companies and institutions to take part in their personnel development program.
PTBA started to build a competency model in 2001 as a foundation to assess the employees. In 2009, the company initiated the development of “assessment center” competency assessment method and the preparation of internal assessor. Now, BA-AC has developed into a reputable Assessment Center supported by continuous improvement in the aspects of performance and quality.
A GLANCE OF ASSESSMENT CENTER
Assessment Center is a procedure or activities used to evaluate employees. In a broader definition, Assessment Center is an evaluation method used to assess and evaluate a person’s capacity comprehensively based on a certain criteria which selected systematically from the result of work analysis so the evaluation result could describe a suitable specific criteria that required by existing job’s qualification.
Furthermore, the objective of Assessment Center are:
- To obtain the best indication of actual capacity or potential to do the tasks required on a certain level
- To help the management in deciding a promotion or diagnosing achievement objectively and to provide a set of data regarding employees’ strength and area that need development
